RAP3 includes a real-time code validation system that checks your code entries for possible errors and inconsistencies with the CS coding rules. The code validation system automatically checks the response codes for errors and unlikely combinations when you enter a code or save a coded response. That is, the program checks in real-time when you click on codes in the main coding areas or on their popup windows, and when you click on any of the response saving options. Whenever your coding combination for a response is incomplete, inaccurate, or unlikely, the RAP3 displays a real-time validation massage.
There is a distinction between definitive error massage and warning massage. Warning massage alerts you to unusual or unlikely coding combination that is possible, but not probable, and often incorrect. On the other hand, Error massage always indicate wrong coding.
Note that errors withhold your ability to progress with coding until you fix them. In contrast, warnings only alert you to a possible inconsistency in your coding combination, but will let you progress further in the coding even if you choose to ignore them.
All RAP3 validation massages provide onscreen information about the nature of the coding desecration and offer specific suggestions for solution.
