RAP Palette

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

The RAP Palette is based on the RAP3 codes, calculated variables, and demographics. It is a fixed database table with the following fields: ID, Code/Variable, Name, Definition, and Category.

These codes and variables are calculated when you use the RAP3 to code the Rorschach responses, and they follow the latest iteration of the CS. In contrast to these static RAP3 codes/variables, with the My-Palette table, you can define your own codes. They will be presented on the updated RAP coding engine alongside the standard RAP3 codes.

There are minor differences between the RAP palette codes and the codes obtained in the RAP3 reports. For example, in the RAP3 Summary report, a and p frequencies also include ap. That is, if a = 6, p = 4, and ap = 4, the RAP3 summary will presents a = 10 and p = 8. In contrast, the RAP+ palette separated them into 3 distinct codes. In addition, in the RAP+ the gender codes are Female, Male, and Other. In any case, when you are working within the RAP+, you should use the RAP+ palette codes/variables.
