The Rorschach Assistant Program provides computer-generated quantitative reports that are based on scoring guidelines and interpretive strategies and principles delineated in the published work of Exner and his colleagues. These are to be found primarily in: A Rorschach Workbook for the Comprehensive System (Exner, 2001) and The Rorschach, Basic Foundations and Principles of Interpretation (Exner, 2003).
The RAP3 quantitative data reports include a Sequence of Scores, a Structural Summary, and a Constellations Table. In addition, the program provides an Interpretation report of the test results.
The availability of a report is dependent upon your Virtual Psychology Professional Qualification (PQ) level. Regardless of your PQ level the reports generated by the RAP3 are intended for use by or under the supervision of qualified professional persons with training and experience in Rorschach assessment. Utilization of the RAP3 in the absence of such qualifications may violate ethical guidelines for providing services only within the boundaries of one's competence.
To ensure a thorough and accurate description of a particular individual's personality characteristics and behavioral tendencies, examiners should consider qualitative as well as quantitative features of the person's Rorschach protocol. They should also evaluate the applicability of the RAP3 reports and interpretive hypotheses in light of information from other sources concerning the person's mental status and past and present life circumstances.
